Responsibilities

• Design engaging banners, landing pages, and e-mails that drive traffic and conversion and are consistent with Geloon’s positioning
• Design assets that meet business objectives, incorporating innovative solutions and known best practices
• As a member of the Product Development team, advocate for the best possible customer experience

Requirements

• Strong Photoshop skills – HTML, CSS, Flash skills a plus
• 2-3 years of interactive design experience, including at least 1 year of e-commerce experience
• Strong time management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• The ideal candidate is creative, a team player, takes initiative, exercises good judgment, and is fun to work with

Inbound Marketing Specialist

Do you tweet, share, and post to social media in your sleep? Do you know what it takes to grow an online community? We’re looking for a social media manager to manage, leverage, and grow our online social media accounts by implementing strategies and tactics that improve our social media presence .

Get real world experience in the Manufacturing Hair tools and beauty industry while getting your hands dirty designing web banners, email campaigns, and various special projects. You’ll also learn a bit about product photography and image production. Work with a talented, dedicated team in a centrally located, casual midtown office.

Outstanding students with an interest in online marketing and beauty are welcome, any time of year. The intern will report to marketing director and act as support for the Product Development team.

The ideal candidate will have …

• Experience managing non-personal social media accounts like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.
• The ability to communicate on social platforms in a consistent, on-brand voice.
• Experience using social media analytics tools and the ability to tweak social strategies based on findings.

Responsibilities Include:

• Managing all social media platforms for the business.
• Creating and evaluating social media strategies.
• Monitoring, responding to, and communicating with the online community.

Editorial Intern

Description
Geloon is aiming to be the blog for hair news, education and entertainment.

We’re looking for a star intern (playful, creative, adventurous and inspired) to assist the editor with… everything. (Research, writing, publishing, marketing, creative production (photo, video) and social media support.)

Outstanding students with an interest in writing/blogging, marketing and hair are welcome any time of year. The intern will report to the Content Manager and will act as support for the Product Development team.

Responsibilities:

• Research hair industry news, trends, events and products/tools
• Coordinate contests and giveaways
• Assist editor with publishing and creative production
• Potential copywriting and marketing support for qualified candidates
• Complete an intern project of your choosing (with some guidance)

Requirements:

• Strong writing skills
• Sense of humor
• Blogging and social media experience
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Interest in hair
• Positive attitude and reliability

You’ll have an edge if:

• You’ve worked in e-commerce.
• You have hair-industry experience (retail, salon, ecommerce, creative or other)
• You have your own blog or website
• You have experience with photography or video
• We need someone for about 24/hours a week, but we’re flexible, so fulltime may also be an option.

Compensation
